Are king- sized beds available in the rooms?

Yes, king-sized beds can be requested upon reservation. 

Do you have non- smoking rooms?

Yes, all of our guestrooms are non-smoking however we do have designated smoking areas in our lovely garden. 

Are baby cots available for the rooms?

Baby cots are available on request. 

Will there be a safe in the room?

Yes, all our guestrooms are equipped with an electronic safe. 

Do you provide hairdryers?

Yes, each one or our guestrooms has a standard size hairdryer.

The three pronged plugs are universal and specific to South Africa. European /American/ British/Australian plugs will not work but adapter plugs are available to rent at the guesthouse reception. Please note a limited amount of these adapter plugs are available.

What type of parking do you offer?

For your convenience we offer covered parking and no additional cost.  

Will I be able to make coffee in the room?

Yes, all of our guestrooms feature a tea/coffee making station for your convenience. 

Is there air- conditioning in the room?

Although at this time not all of our guestrooms have air-conditioning we do offer both an electrical fan and wall heater in all rooms.

Our luxury family unit does have air-conditioning.

Do you have a swimming pool?

We have two outdoor swimming pools, one located at the guesthouse and the other at the self- catering house. Pool towels can be collected at Fynbos Villa office free of charge. 

Do you offer WiFi and is it free of charge?

We do offer complimentary Wifi in both the guesthouse and self- catering house and it’s accessible from the guestrooms, public areas or garden. Each day a new login code can be retrieved at the front office which will last 24hours. 

What are your reception hours?

Weekdays: 7am – 22:30

Weekends: 8am – 22:30

We welcome our guests between 14:00 and 19:00 without prior arrangement regarding arrival time. However, if you will be arriving later than 19:00 – 22:30, please inform us accordingly.

Where is the nearest bank or currency exchange?

Currency can be exchanged at any of the following places: 

ABSA Bank (Cnr Plein & Van Ryneveld Street) -400m

Bidvest Bank Rennies Foreign Exchange (Ground floor at Checkers Centre, Mill Street) -900m

American Express Foreign Exchange (56 Bird Street)

Do you have a bar?

We do not have a full bar at the guesthouse, however do have a courtesy bar with a selection of beers, cool drinks, water and wines. Please ask at the Fynbos Villa office for assistance.

What is your cancellation policy?

Fynbos Villa Guest House reserves the right to charge the following cancellation fee should a confirmed:

Reservations can be cancelled within the following period:

  • 10% administration fee if cancelled 14 days or more prior to arrival
  • 50% cancellation fee if cancelled 14 days or less prior to arrival
  • 100% cancellation fee if cancelled 7 days or less prior to arrival or in the event of a non- arrival
  • Cancellation Fees apply when a guest alters the dates to shorten a stay
