We are well into the heart of winter now, which means that many of you will be scurrying for cover as we experience a number of cold fronts in the fairer Cape. Do not fear, as there is never a shortage of activities and new things to try in Stellenbosch… even when it’s cold and wet! Let’s take a look at what’s’ happening over the month of July:
The festival aims to provide a platform for young musicians to perform and to be inspired by chamber music and orchestral playing in an internationally recognised and professional standard. The ten day- long event puts Stellenbosch on the international music calendar and is known for its ability to nurture young talent. It provides the facility an opportunity for young musicians to grow and further their training and studies, contributing to South Africa’s diverse cultural heritage. Starting in July, Delheim will be offering their cheese and jazz pairing every Sunday afternoon until the end of August. Indulge in creamy cheese and delicious wine while listening to the smooth sounds of jazz in the downstairs atmospheric cellar.

For the runners out there, specifically the outdoor enthusiasts, the second Falke run is happening on July 5th at the Simonsberg Conservancy. The route features beautiful single-track through various terrains and extraordinary scenery. No matter what the weather brings on the day or how long it takes you, medals will be awarded to all finishers! There will be a choice of a 7km and a 12km route to tackle on the day.
